Think of the cloud industry like one giant ice cream parlor, filled with new exciting flavors for you to try. But, while we all like testing out new flavors of ice cream there is always one that we go back to, our gut instinct choice.

The cloud industry is the same, depending on your wants and needs there’s a flavor for you. Maybe it’s an old faithful vanilla soft serve, or maybe a more exotic choice. Just like different people like different flavors, so do different businesses like different cloud providers. The hard part is wading through the mass of providers to find out which one you like the best, similar to trying all of the flavors at cold stone it’s tough to make a choice.

One of the best things any company can do is make a list of their wants and needs. Which extras sound the best to them, what model do they need, and so on. It’s important to write everything down so you don’t get swayed by any shiny add ons, like chocolate jimmies. On top of making a needs and wants list, you should be comparing different providers to see if their offerings fit into what you are looking for.

It’s not always about finding the right flavor for you, it sometimes becomes a game of merging multiple flavors until it suits your needs. Whichever the case, remember that their is a flavor out there for you. Though the hunt may be stressful, the treasure you find at the end will be rewarding.
